A quick apology for the lack of a vlog this week — I’ve come down with a sore throat and currently sound more like Darth Vader than myself, which isn’t ideal for commentary.

It’s frustrating, because there’s plenty I’d like to talk about: the Nathan Gill sentencing and the questions it raises about Russian dark money in UK politics; the latest UK immigration changes that take no account of Scotland’s economic or demographic realities; and the ongoing Mossmorran issue, which again underlines the problem of having another country control our energy policy.

So expect a bumper edition next week once the UK Budget lands and my voice returns to something recognisably human.
