This new seat includes four-sevenths of Martyn’s former Linlithgow and East Falkirk Westminster constituency, meaning he has represented three-quarters of it over the past nine years as MP—winning three General Elections in the process and giving a strong voice to these communities by standing up for them in Westminster.
For 25 years, Martyn has served Linlithgow—first as a local councillor, then as MP. Over his time in Westminster, he dealt with approximately 20,000 constituent enquiries across this new constituency —meaning almost everyone in the area will know someone Martyn Day has helped.
Through years of active engagement, Martyn has built strong relationships with local community groups and businesses.
The new Falkirk East and Linlithgow constituency stretches along the River Forth from South Alloa to Blackness, encompassing the communities of Grangemouth, Bo’ness, Linlithgow, Polmont, Westquarter, Laurieston, Brightons, Redding, Maddiston, Reddingmuirhead, California, Shieldhill, Whitecross, Standburn, Avonbridge, Limerigg, Slamannan, Hallglen, Glen Village, part of Falkirk, Airth, and Skinflats.
