Signed the Your Right To Decide Pledge

Martyn Day has signed the Your Right To Decide pledge—standing up for the simple, democratic principle that decisions about Scotland should be taken by the people of Scotland. As John Swinney has set out, giving people a choice over our future “has never been more important, more urgent or more necessary,” and Scotland is a nation that must be able to choose its own path.

Whatever our views on independence, we should take the decision out of Westminster’s hands and put it where it belongs—with the people of Scotland. In 2014, parties accepted that principle; they should do so again now.
