Thank You

Thank you to everyone who voted, everyone who helped, everyone who delivered leaflets, knocked doors, made calls, put up posters, gave lifts, shared posts, encouraged neighbours, and kept going right to the end.

Elections are won by teams. I am very grateful to every volunteer and supporter who gave their time, energy and belief to this campaign.

Locally, I was delighted to be elected as the member for Falkirk East and Linlithgow. Most of all, thank you to the people who put their trust in me and in the SNP. That trust is not something I take lightly.

Returning to elected politics for my home area is a great privilege. To take a seat in our national Parliament is the greatest honour of my political life. The task ahead now is to make that national Parliament an independent one.

I will work hard for every part of this constituency, whether you voted for me or not. The campaign is over, but the work now begins – standing up for local communities, protecting public services, tackling the cost of living, and making the case for Scotland’s right to choose its own future.

This week I will attend Parliament for registration and orientation, then for the swearing-in and election of the Presiding Officer on Thursday. An official email address and phone number will be published shortly.

Locally, the work of setting up systems, recruiting staff and securing an office now begins in earnest.
