Ready for Business

The first week as MSP has passed, and I have been getting to grips with Parliament, its procedures, and the practical steps needed to get properly up and running, including the Oath Taking on Thursday.

Elections are won by teams. The campaign is over, but the work now begins.

My immediate priority is getting a staffed constituency office set up. The initial steps are underway and I hope to have the main details concluded by the end of the month. I cannot wait to get the office and systems in place so I can move fully onto policy work and handling casework for constituents.

For now, I currently have no support staff, so I am dealing with all enquiries and invitations personally. Urgent cases will be prioritised during this initial period.
