Cut Fuel Prices

This election is a clear choice about who shapes Scotland’s future. An SNP Government will focus on what matters day to day, strengthening our NHS, tackling the cost of living, and supporting families with measures like expanded childcare and help for first-time buyers, but it is also about ensuring decisions about Scotland are made in Scotland.

A strong SNP result moves us closer to independence and protects our Parliament from being pulled in directions that do not reflect Scotland’s priorities. Without that, there is a real risk of instability and backroom deals.

At a time when people are being hit hard by soaring energy and fuel costs, despite Scotland’s vast energy wealth, Westminster has failed to act, which is why we need both immediate relief such as scrapping fuel duty rises and VAT on fuel and the powers of independence to build a fairer, more secure future.
