The Westminster Cost of Living Crisis Proves One Thing: Scotland Needs Independence

Honesty is out of fashion in Westminster. Promises are made — and broken. From the Tories to the new Labour government, nothing really changes. And now, with the cost of living crisis deepening, people across Scotland are paying the price for decisions made by a system that doesn’t work for us.

Since Labour took office, energy bills are up by £150, not down as promised. Food prices remain painfully high, and Brexit continues to hammer the economy — costing the UK £40 billion and dragging down productivity by 4%. It’s clear: the status quo is broken.

More cuts. More chaos. More of the same – Scotland deserves better.

The SNP is already acting — within the limits of devolution — to make a difference:
