Westminster Fails Scotland as Energy Bills Soar

Scotland is facing an energy crisis, yet Keir Starmer and the Labour Government are doing almost nothing to protect households and businesses. Across Europe, independent countries are acting fast. Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Germany, and Greece have all introduced measures to cut fuel costs and cap electricity prices. Meanwhile, Scots are left with a £35 handout, while heating oil bills have nearly tripled.

Labour’s promises are hollow. Anas Sarwar recycled the same energy bill cuts he pledged in 2024, which never materialised, while costs continue to rise, inflation soars, and poverty increases. Westminster’s inaction is hitting ordinary people hard.

The SNP has a plan. Through independence, Scotland can take control of its vast energy wealth, lower bills, and ensure households and businesses are never left fuel poor. This is the choice on the ballot in May. Only a strong SNP team can secure a fairer, more secure future for Scotland.
