WASPI Women Betrayed

Labour’s Pat McFadden stood at the dispatch box and, in the most patronising terms imaginable, ruled out compensation for WASPI women — effectively arguing that many wouldn’t have read or understood a pensions letter even if it had arrived earlier.

That’s not just dismissive. It’s an insult to the 1950s-born women who were let down by maladministration and then strung along with warm words and photo opportunities when Labour wanted their votes.

The Ombudsman was clear. Compensation was recommended. Yet once in power, Labour have walked away from their promise to “right the historic wrong”.
