Martyn Day Delighted to Attend Legends of South Asian Heritage in Scotland Event

SNP Candidate for Falkirk East and Linlithgow, Martyn Day, was delighted to attend the Legends of South Asian Heritage in Scotland event, hosted by Networking Key Services (NKS) – a health and welfare organisation supporting women and their families.

The event celebrated the remarkable contributions of South Asian individuals to Scottish society during the 18th and 19th centuries, shining a light on the inspiring stories of figures such as Maharaja Duleep Singh, Abdul Karim, Rabindranath Tagore, Noor Inayat Khan, Sophia Duleep Singh, and many others whose lives and legacies helped shape Scotland’s rich cultural and social history.

As well as a documentary and photography exhibition, the event also marked the launch of Tales and Whispers – a powerful collection of migrant stories compiled by Naina Minhas.
