Scotland has the Energy, Time for the Power

Scotland is energy rich, yet has some of the highest energy bills in Europe.

It’s time for a fresh start with lower energy bills.

Scotland’s energy future is being held back by decisions made at Westminster, where UK politicians prioritise their own backyard over Scottish interests.

To unlock the full potential of our vast renewable-energy wealth, Scotland needs to retain and support the skilled North Sea workforce and take control of its own energy policy.

Other countries show what’s possible: Norway, with full independence, has used its oil and gas resources to build a fairer, wealthier, and more secure society.

Scotland, blessed with world-class renewables, now has a second chance to get it right after missing out on the full benefits of the oil and gas era. Yet UK energy policy continues to favour London and the south-east, leaving Scottish communities hosting wind farms, pylons, and major infrastructure while still facing sky-high energy bills.

Despite producing a surplus of low-cost power, Scotland pays more while its energy flows south with too little benefit at home.

A better future is possible. Real energy security, lower bills, and a fairer approach for Scotland require taking decisions out of Westminster’s hands.

Independence offers the fresh start needed to fix a broken system and put Scotland’s energy resources to work for the people who live here.
