Short Changed

After just one year in office, Keir Starmer’s Labour government has delivered broken promises, damaging cuts, and confusion — particularly for disabled people now left in limbo.

Rather than delivering the change voters were promised, Labour has continued Westminster’s cycle of austerity, rising poverty, and economic failure — from slashing support for vulnerable groups, to rising bills, job losses, and U-turns on key pledges.

Scotland deserves better. With independence, we can take a different path — one built on dignity, fairness, and compassion.

We shouldn’t have to keep cleaning up Westminster’s mess. Only with the full powers of independence can we protect our social safety net and deliver the real change people in Scotland need.
