St Andrews Day Address

This week Martyn Day addressed a St Andrew’s Night gathering of supporters, we were reminded that Scotland’s story has always been shaped by movement, exchange, and openness. St Andrew himself never lived here—his journey across the Mediterranean reflects the connections between communities and the shared values of hospitality, solidarity, and protecting the vulnerable.

Scotland is stronger for its diversity. “One Scotland, many voices” isn’t just a slogan—it is how we live our values, welcoming newcomers and celebrating all who contribute to our society. Opinion polls consistently show that the SNP is trusted to stand up for Scotland, and we take that responsibility seriously. Between now and next May, we will continue to fight for a government that delivers on what matters most: fairness, opportunity, and the chance for our country to decide its own future.

Martyn Day stressed, “Only the SNP can be trusted to deliver a better future for Scotland – and deliver the fresh start of independence our country needs.”
