CHOOSE – Action on Child Poverty

Child poverty in Scotland is at its lowest level in 30 years.

Independent charities say Scotland’s rates are now significantly lower than in England and Wales – helped by measures like the Scottish Child Payment.

Analysis from the London School of Economics shows that if the UK Government matched Scotland’s investment in social security, up to 700,000 children across the UK could be lifted out of poverty overnight.

That shows what’s possible when governments choose to act.
