Back to Business – and Back to Campaigning

Both Westminster and the Scottish Parliament are back in session after the summer recess, and the pace of politics is already picking up. With the next election just eight months away, attention will turn to budgets, manifesto promises, and the choices that will shape the years ahead.

In Scotland, the SNP Government continues to focus on what matters most – tackling the cost of living, eradicating child poverty, supporting our NHS, and building a stronger, fairer economy. But too often, Scotland’s priorities are constrained by decisions made at Westminster, decisions that don’t reflect the needs of our communities. That’s why independence, and having control of our own future, is so important.

Here in Falkirk East and Linlithgow, my campaign is focused on matching that sense of urgency. The next eight months are crucial, not just for the SNP, but for our communities. People deserve a strong local voice – someone who will fight for fairness, stand up for families, and deliver real change.
