Dear {name}, Welcome to the first e-Newsletter from Martyn Day and the SNP in Falkirk East and Linlithgow. Future editions will be issued every second Sunday — and I’d really welcome your feedback along the way. It’s been a flying start to the local campaign. In just a few short weeks, we’ve already spoken with over 1,200 voters across the constituency — and I’m incredibly grateful for the warm welcome and honest conversations. I’ve started the campaign by getting to know the towns and villages I haven’t previously represented during my time as an MP — meeting people on doorsteps, in local shops, at community events, and listening to what really matters in each part of this diverse and vibrant constituency. It’s a real honour to stand as your SNP candidate and champion the cause of independence here at home. As your SNP candidate for the next Scottish Parliament election, I’m focused on listening to your views and priorities. I know that most folk are finding things tough right now, and they want to see real change — not just reheated promises from a Westminster government that sees Scotland as an afterthought or from its branch offices here who listen more to their London bosses than the people in Scotland. We’ve already seen disappointment in Labour’s early decisions. After so much hope in removing the Tories, we now face more of the same: cuts to support, no action on child poverty, and no real plan for Scotland. The SNP is different. We’re always on Scotland’s side — delivering where we can, with policies that cut the cost of living, like free prescriptions, free bus travel, and support with childcare. And we’re investing to improve access to the NHS, including 100,000 more GP appointments. Thanks again for your interest — and I hope you enjoy this first edition. Yours for Scotland,
