Dear {name} John Swinney has wasted no time getting down to business following the election. In appointing a streamlined and experienced government, he has put together a team focused on delivery, reform and making the case for Scotland's future. With fewer Cabinet posts and clear responsibilities, this is a government designed to get things done rather than simply manage the status quo. The appointments combine experienced hands with fresh talent, bringing together people who understand both the challenges Scotland faces and the opportunities ahead. Importantly, responsibility for advancing Scotland's constitutional future now sits directly with the First Minister, underlining the central place of independence within this government's programme. Last week's business in Parliament demonstrated the ambition of this new administration. The focus has been firmly on improving public services, supporting economic growth, tackling the cost of living and delivering the reforms needed to build a stronger Scotland. These are not separate objectives from independence; they are part of the same journey. Every step we take to improve Scotland's economy, strengthen our public services and expand opportunity strengthens the case that decisions about Scotland are best made in Scotland. For my own part, I will be making my first Scottish Parliament speech next week on the debate on Wealth Taxes and Public Services and I look forward to added my voice to the fight ahead. For those of us who believe Scotland should be an independent nation, there is much to welcome. The election delivered another pro-independence majority in Parliament, and John Swinney's government has made clear that it intends to use that mandate constructively and positively. The task now is simple - deliver for the people of Scotland, demonstrate what can be achieved with the powers we have, and continue building the case for the powers we still need. Scotland deserves nothing less. Yours for Scotland,
