Dear {name} There was a terrific energy at the SNP manifesto launch in Glasgow. It reflected something very clear – this is a party with a strong, practical and positive programme for government, and a determination to improve people’s lives in every part of Scotland. The message at the heart of the manifesto is simple: the SNP is on your side. In challenging times, that matters more than ever. People are feeling the pressure of rising costs, stretched public services and uncertainty about the future. Our response is not rhetoric, but action – focused on helping families, strengthening communities, and building a fairer Scotland. The SNP’s offer is clear: - A £2 cap on bus fares across Scotland, making travel more affordable and helping people get to work, education and essential services
- A cap on the price of essential food items, recognising the reality of the cost of living crisis many families face
- Free breakfast clubs in every primary school, supporting children and easing pressure on parents
- Up to £10,000 support for first-time buyers to help more people get on the housing ladder
- A major expansion of childcare, extending support from 9 months old through to 12 years old, making work more accessible for parents
- A Private Jet Tax to ensure fairness in tackling the climate emergency
- Stronger action to tackle online harm and keep young people safe
- A Teacher Job Guarantee to support education and safeguard standards in our schools
- And, importantly, a commitment to give the people of Scotland the choice of an independence referendum
At the manifesto launch, John Swinney set out a clear record of delivery and a determination to go further – on health, the economy, child poverty and living standards. That sense of purpose was unmistakable. This is a programme built on fairness, opportunity and ambition for Scotland. Not standing still, but moving forward. If re-elected, the SNP will continue to focus on what matters most: helping people through the cost of living crisis, investing in our public services, and giving Scotland the tools to shape its own future. That is the choice in front of us – and that is why this manifesto matters. The SNP is on your side. Let’s take Scotland forward together. Yours for Scotland,
