Dear {name} The recent Spring Statement is a clear example of decisions taken at Westminster which undermine Scotland. The UK Government has chosen to maintain the Energy Profits Levy - a policy that is already damaging jobs and investment in Scotland’s offshore energy sector. At a time when global instability is pushing up oil and gas prices and energy security is a growing concern across Europe, policies that put North Sea production on a cliff edge risk undermining both jobs today and the investment needed for tomorrow’s renewable transition. Scotland has the skills, the workforce and the natural resources to lead the energy transition while supporting our economy and our communities. But too often the key decisions are made elsewhere. Some people want Scotland to be more like the rest of the UK. I don’t.Scotland has chosen a different path. Our Parliament has built a social contract that supports families and protects public services - delivering free prescriptions, no tuition fees, the Scottish Child Payment, the Baby Box for every newborn, free bus travel for young people and older citizens, free school meals for younger pupils, and the removal of bridge tolls. These are choices the rest of the UK simply doesn’t offer, and they make a real difference to the cost of living and opportunity. And we are continuing to build on that progress - scrapping peak rail fares, increasing the Scottish Child Payment, delivering more affordable homes, investing record funding in the NHS and opening new GP walk-in centres. The SNP believe Scotland can do better — protecting our public services, supporting families, and building a strong energy future. Don’t risk the progress. Build on it. Yours for Scotland,
