It is great news that the Young Patients Family Fund has supported families across Forth Valley and Lothian over the last year. This funding helps parents visit their children in hospital – supporting families in their time of need.
GERS is not a set of national accounts for an independent Scotland. It is an estimate of how much revenue is raised in Scotland and how much is spent on Scotland’s behalf – including billions on immoral nuclear weapons at Faslane. It also includes debt repayments and the cost of decisions made in Whitehall that Scotland had no say over.
Labour’s two-child cap is currently hitting nearly two thousand households in Falkirk and West Lothian – and almost 30,000 across Scotland. Next year, this SNP Government will scrap it, ending the harm done by Westminster and making a real difference to families.
The SNP’s free bus travel policy is part of a wider approach to supporting young people and helping families with the cost of living – alongside initiatives such as the Scottish Child Payment, free school meals expansion, and the Baby Box.
